the blog blahs

I have needed to update the blog for a few days but have neglected to do so. I decided I better do it before it is brought to my attention ah hem Brooke! So here goes…

I got my baby crib in and LOVE it!! I have n0t taken a picture of it in the room yet to post because the room is a far cry from done so I will wait until its done to do a nursery reveal. Also my sweet husband with the help of our sweet friends painted the nursery when he had a long weekend! I am so glad it is finished that was the most dreadful part!

I am still searching for the most perfect piece for a changing table here are a few things I like so if I can find something similar I will be happy!

Yes I know those are all so different but   I like them all!

THAT is my favorite! ahhh beautiful!  as for bedding,… well maybe I wont use crib bedding HA! I actually bought some that I plan to take back, which I did the same  thing with Nate so I am not surprised!  But I got it home and its just too boyish! I need something more neutral…which by the way if you are thinking of not finding out what you are having until delivery date…well think long a hard because this is the craziest mind game I have ever played with myself.  Not to mention it would just be easier to know. So I hope waiting pays off the day the baby is born I hope it is as exciting as everyone says because right now frankly I am over it!  Here is the bedding that is going back and I know there are fish above the bed but it really didn’t look so boyish in the store…

 

This week we have a sweet sweet boy around while his parents are on a trip. I  have not had time to take pictures of the things we did today so I just took this crapy one with the computer, by the time we leave that will be a whole blog post I am sure!

oh just a quick baby update I am 22 weeks now the baby is 11inches and about a pound! time is going so quickly! I have 126 days to go until due date that is…eeek that’s not long when I have wedding showers, beach trips, girls trips weddings, birthday parties etc.. between now and then!

We started celebrating Valentines day Saturday with our ABS class. We had our 2nd annual Valentines Banquet! It was beautiful yummy and lots of fun(if I do say so myself). Brooke and I worked had planning, cooking and decorating  which I think everyone was pleased with!! here are a few pictures from the event…

Today was our “half way” ultra sound and Dr. appointment. I am so excited  it is time to get things moving.. speaking of moving this baby doesn’t stop! With Nate my placenta was in the back and I felt him move a few times a day at this point, this time my placenta is in the back and I can feel this little bambino moving all around… I LOVE IT!

ANYWHO back to what I was trying to say, we had our ultra sound this morning that would normal be the gender revealing ultrasound (which if you know us you know we are not finding out) . We saw a healthy healthy growing baby measuring 2 days further than my due date but that’s  fine by me! Heart rate was 142! Secretly I thought after today I would have more of a feeling of what it is maybe because secretly I was thinking I would sneak a peak the ultrasound tech may slip up and say something… but not so much! When I was expecting Nate I had a strong feeling early on that he was a boy.. and I was right, what do you expect? HA! but this time is different I don’t have a strong feeling. If I HAD to guess I would say boy… but is that because I know no different? maybe so, or is it because almost everyone well EVERYONE except my mother is saying girl… and you know as well as I do moms are ALWAYS 99.9% right most of the time.  So I still have not made up my guess yet but soon I will. I ALMOST caved and bought an intellagender test.. but I didn’t!

After the Dr. today we came home and I ordered the crib! I have uploaded 2 pictures of it because one had girl bedding and one has white bedding just showing you it with two different styles!  oh and the one I actually ordered is the antique white finish but I didn’t want the girl bedding to throw you off!

So here’s to nursery planning started! I cant wait to have a nursery in this house again ! NOTHING like loving on a newborn!

The Circus came to town!

My sister and I took our sweet boys to the circus a few weeks ago. We ordered our tickets online not realizing what we got.. when we got to the civic center we soon realized we had FRONT ROW seats… like there was just a little gate between us and the floor… so sister and I got a little nervous, the boys…they LOVED it!!

After the circus we went to Nate's favorite restaurant “chik a lay” to pick up lunch then we had a picnic in the back of the car before going in Buy Buy Baby! I love that store!

16 weeks belly pic.. even if I am 19.5 weeks now!

I have been bad AWFUL at taking belly pics like I said I was going to! I just stay so busy and by the time I think of it I usually can not even remember what week I am at that point but when I uploaded my circus pictures(that post is next) I found this and thought I would document… the pic looks like Nate took it but really is was on my jewelry box leaning on an earing so it wouldn’t fall off with the self timer on….

and yes I look much larger than 16 weeks but I really was 16 weeks in this picture! I am feel like this baby is a lot lower than Nate was! Also I am so excited MONDAY we go for our checkup and ultrasound! Even though we are not finding out the sex of the baby I cant wait to see some face shots! Also thinking about a 4d ultrasound I would love to have one but not sure if I want to pay that $$ and not be able to watch the screen just to make sure I don’t see what the baby is!?

When it rains…….. Nate looks cute

Nate LOVES his hair boots and rain jacket! He looks so cute I had to share! Anytime Nate wants to wear any kind of jacket he says its raining outside I need my jacket!  also these rainboots are the only shoes he can put on himself!

Yesterday on our way to school this was the conversation between Nate and I …

Me: Nate I am going to stop and get me a biscuit

Nate: I wanna bis-ic

Me: Do you want a sausage biscuit or plain biscuit

Nate I don’t wanna sausage bis-ic I wanna bis-ic

Me: ok so you want a plain biscuit?

Nate: NO!!! I don’t wanna rain bis-ic .. I WANNA BIS-IC!!!!!!

Me: realizing he wants a plain biscuit  says “ ok ill get you a biscuit”

I order we get the food I had him his he takes a bite

Nate: mom what is a rain bis-ic

Me: I dunno?!

Nate: is this a rain bis-ic? what kind of bis-ic do you have?  I like rain bis –ics!

Me: I have a meat biscuit( if I would have said chicken he MIGHT woulda freaked out wanting chicken nuggets! )

In the car this morning we get the the stop sign at the front of our neighborhood and Nate yells from the back

“HEY MOM you forgot something” I said “WHAT?!” his response…… “YOUR MAMA” … umm this kid has joke?! ha-ha I said “ My Mama is Uma” and he responds with “Uma my bestfrand”   awe sweet baby!

oh one more..

Today is NATEDAY! we went to the salon this morning and Nate got a big boy haircut it looks presh! On the way home (nap time was 1.5 hrs. ago and had been skipped mind you) he said in a REAL drowsy voice “its almost time to go sleep”? eyes trying there hardest to stay open and 2 seconds later he was OUT!!

We NEVER know what this kids is going to say!! He keeps us on out toes and I love it!!

I ordered this off of etsy today for baby Martin! I mean how stinking cute is that?

Just a quick update:

18 weeks down 20ish weeks to go!

Still not finding out… but if I was my ultrasound appointment is Feb 13th! hope to get some sweet profile and feet  pics!

oh and one more.. I have stated wearing nursing pads…. yes already at 18 weeks :/ oh the joys !!

I guess that’s the main updates, I am busy busy planning big brothers 3rd birthday party. We will be having his party at home this year!

Oh and I FINALLY found some fabric I LOVE for the bedding … SEW let the SEWING start!  I decided to stick with the neutral colors I had picked out first!

I cant wait to get the nursery together I remember when I was expecting Nate and we had finished his room I would go in there at night  all by myself turn on his lamp and  lullaby cd and rock in his glider…I SOOOO look forward to being able to do that again!
